I like to work with oils, acrylics and pastels and I have developed drawing and painting skills through formal courses at the National College of Art and Design and at the Raw Umber Studios in Stroud, England.
A long-standing passion of mine is exploration of the links between art and science and this has led me to fruitful collaborations with other artists in sculpture, printmaking, experimental film and live performance
My studio is at the HATCH SPACE Crumlin Studios. I also organise regular life drawing sessions at Phibsborough Life Drawing in the local parish hall and I am a member of the United Arts Club.
My work has been exhibited at the Royal Hibernian Academy, the United Arts Club and the MART Gallery and Studios at the Rathmines Fire Station. I have been a featured artist at the MART-supported Exhibition at CICLA, the Contempoary Irish Arts Centre, Los Angeles.
Painting and Drawing are my Preferred Artforms
I love to work with:
Soft Pastels
-which are so tactile and easy to blend
Oil and Acrylic paints
-for their endless layers and effects
Pencils & Crayons
-for the quick sketches that can capture fleeting expressions and gestures
